Why do you think it’s an ignorant comment? Also, how does it promote violence?
Because Vicki Pollard does not have an accent from Ashton under Lyne or indeed any area of the Northwest a more informed person would identify that and not make a comment that a deaf person would identify as wrong. When I was attacked the issue raised was the local took offence that someone from Yorkshire, he was also ignorant of accents, would dare to suggest to a local not to queue jump. He tried to incite the other locals because my accent was different. This is exactly what the MOS journalist and poster attempt by equating a strong accent with an objectionable fictional character.

To be honest it's not the accent it's the sneering chav gobbiness that I see in them both. I never mentioned her accent but I hope you recover from your unfortunate incident in Cheltenham PGK. It's never nice to be the victim of such random violence.

I have a lot of respect for Ms Rayner. She is a conviction politician… and there aren’t many of them these days.

Plus, she has managed to control her weight:

I can see your compelling reasons for your support of this politician but I am not fooled. The woman called another member of parliament 'scum'. It's not acceptable.

It was an intemperate word used in the heat of the moment but you have to remember that it is not uncommon to refer to the Conservative Party as “ Tory Scum” north of Watford and would be a leitmotif around the table in her home when talking Tory

It wasn't in the House of Commons, it was at a private meeting at the Labour party conference.

That is still unacceptable. Politicians should not be referring to their peers as 'scum' or anything of the sort. That kind of language strikes me as being driven by ideology or some kind of intolerance/prejudice which has no place in the modern workplace.

I am surprised you think her as exhibiting "chav gobbiness", I fear your understanding of chaviness is wrong, what you see is the very direct approach taken by Northerners particularly when faced with obfuscating, condescending liars such as the PM. Thank you, Cheltenham incident was many years ago and whilst shocking at the time was tempered by the magistrates evisceration of his defence which was based upon his view that no thick northerner would tell him what to do in his home town! They were unsympathetic to his claim that it was unfair to find him guilty as "that northern thug put me in hospital"🙄

Presumably you have been similarly offended by the patronising comments made by government ministers to female members of the opposition? Both of which appear unhelpful and unprofessional in the modern workplace.
