I honestly cannot believe the comments above. The RPA are doing something to help your cash flow, and you mostly are critical of this move.Do you all have such vast wealth that the BPS is just a minor inconvenience to you or have you all bought 2 yrs of N last year and not yet sold anything from 2021 harvest? For once, just once, wind your necks in and grow up.

The arable mens share should go to the Pig,poultry, and cattle/sheep men this year. They dont need any of it with grain at over £300/ton and Oilseed at £850.🪖:)

i'm only small peasant sheep/bitta corn outfit....but i got a bill for some spray today and WTF  ....i dunno if arable boys are going to be raking it in.....the maths on inputs seems 'orbital'.....this advance payment is all about getting them to plant next autumn IMO

trouble is this move is not extra money...it's half of a reduced payment and it could fuel more input inflation....for example do i use the money to buy next years fert whilst i've got it.....or do i wait:scratchhead:....it seems clear govt are hoping we'll buy our inputs early thus making sure of crops next year
