How long do you all leave Pronestesic or other local anesthetic?
We used to leave Adreacaine about 30-45 min. But heard others was over a hour. Now get Pronestesic 3ml per side still leaving a hour. But new worker says his last place only left them 15-20 min?

10 mins minimum or until their eyes look sleepy. Leave it too long and it will have worn off.
Edit. This was what we were taught on a calf rearing course when I was on the YTS, so not yesterday......

Adrenacaine was always 10-15 minutes. I used our first bottle of pronesthetic last week. Convinced it was just a bottle of water. Even the ones at the end who had been waiting 30-35 minutes for their turn fought like demons. Only got the very occasional one do that with adrenocaine!
Did you use enough, our vets said need to use a bit more pronestesic than you would adrenacaine. I think I use 5ml each side pronestesic, but have used a bit less adrenacaine in the past.

It has got less of the active ingredient so needs bigger dose rate
