Kubota 61-3 problem.

The drive has stopped on one track on my digger apart from moving a couple of inches either way. Knowing my luck it will be the track motor, but is there anything I should look for before stripping it down, and if it is the motor , does anyone know where there is a digger breakers where I might get a replacement? I believe they are not cheap new. Many thanks Steve.

Thinking on a 210 komatsu we had started getting lazy on one track .There are some o rings where the pipes go through the slew ring for the track motors these were replaced and cured it .It may be worth a look into that :)

Mine 71 -3 did it a year or two back, got a seal kit for the drive motor and very carefully replaced seals - need a clean bit of workshop as there are dozens of bits that will fall out or ping off into the ether.

Worked fine for 500 plus hours since though.

I did a 41-2 a while ago for a neighbour one of the reduction gears had shattered, there was a bit of wear and some rough bits on the other gears but got the one gear from https://plantparts.eu/ for about £70 and give it all a good flush out. digger be lucky if it does 5/10hrs a yr with him so he didnt want to spend a £1000 for a full unit.

Cheers for that , just about to have a go at getting the drive plate off. See if there's any visible damage. If not I'll remove drive and strip it .

Just about to take the drive plate off. The digger isn't in use everyday , just a few days a month. So that would get me sorted too. Cheers Graham

Usually it’s the planetary gears that break up on these
Done a few

Has anyone on here had a problem with the hydraulic fluid being bubbling up out of the top of tank
Like it’s being pumped with air
Was it the pump or something else
