Massey Front Loader Rams leaking

Hi, I am a newbie and apologies if this has been asked before but I recently acquired a 3085 with a 888 loader. All 4 rams leak at rest, with 2 of them being worse than the others. It raises/tips okay, although not sure how well under load yet.
Just wondered how much of a job this is to undertake? I can see that the raising rams seem to have an end cap, which I assume will undo whereas the tilt rams just have a 10mm hole towards the end of the casing, so unsure how to remove these. I would hope to get away with just replacing the end seals.

You need new seals maybe even new rods , find a local hydraulic repair place for the job 🤔
Yes but ideally I am looking to do it myself as getting all 4 rams done would become rather pricey. I am used to doing mechanical repairs, mainly cars and motorbikes, and have done seal repairs on brake cylinders but was just wondering if there’s a ‘here’s how to’ guide out there.

Hate to say it, but looking at those pictures , I very much doubt that those seals have not been replaced before, many times. I think you need new rods as I suspect the old ones are not straight and would also suspect they have an issue with going over centre, is this possible with these rams? If not over centreing it is pitting which is causing your issues

Not sure what you mean by over Centreing? I can’t see much evidence of pitting

Could you post a couple of photos of the end caps on the tilt rams? Two possibilities on removal process.
Hi, do these help?

The best way out of this is to remove the rams and take them to a hydraulic repair place. As they will know what they are looking at and will advise you on what is needed as well as do it. By the time you go through the mill of trial and error you will have wasted as much time and money as would pay someone to do them.

End caps are held on by a length of wire that's what the hole is for, turn the end cap till the end of the wire is lined up with the hole stick a screwdriver in the hole to catch the end of the wire then turn the end cap to wind the wire out of the hole, there is a bent bit on the end of the wire that clips into the end cap to wind it back in again when you finished.
pull the rod out complete with the end cap,

Thanks for that, I did wonder, that makes sense. I will attempt the other rams first that have the screw on glands. If it looks like it’s going to be too much grief I will take them to a local repair shop but there’s no harm in trying.
