I have whittled it down to two toppers:

9' Foster, or a
9' Fleming, they are both the same spec, and price

About twice the price, and for the amount we will do it isn't worth paying the extra, we also will be only topping our own land, so won't be hitting any rubbish....
Foster are still made here aren't they ?
In that case with nothing else between them thats what I would buy

Is it necessary for most modern Mums to own a 4x4 to take Olly and Jemima to school, when an Escort was good enough for us?
Aye, but we were only normal kids, not the special ones that seem very prevalent these days... ;) ( in fact in my day you had to bl**dy walk!! Get the man a scythe!!)

6ft Foster topper here and 6 ton Fleming trailer - I`d go Foster!!!
+1 Foster. Very simple but not much to go wrong, if you hit something hard it's either a shear bolt or one of the rubber rings in the worst case. No extra flaps or silly stuff like that to get bent either when you've got a rougher operator on it.
