never heard of any of the ones listed in previous posts . . .
And we’ve never heard of the miller or goldacres and I know the case can’t be bought here.

@db9go i’d go Bateman - Sands - Knight - Chafer. Having driven a knight a fair bit it’s a nice sprayer with good controls but some things like the hydraulic pipes arn’t well thought of

Hmm, I’m guessing the North American / world market for sprayers is a bit bigger than the UK market
But none the less, carry on . . .
Yes there might be loads more of those sprayers you have named sold on the world/North American/Australian market But just because that's the case it doesn't really apply here, db9go Is a UK based farmer and I very much doubt would start looking at a Miller or a Goldacres for example, nowhere sells them over here, so there would be zero backup and I'm pretty sure there quite wide machines compared to the self propelled sprayers we have here which are relatively narrow due to the roads mainly. Here even JD seem to push Mazotti over there own JD sprayers and as has been said you can't get a Case here either.
He also asked for opinions on 3 brands specifically....

@db9go We run a 12 year old Sands and a 2 year old Chafer. Backup from Sands is superb, the machine itself is showing its age a bit but I've no doubt a new Sands would be an excellent machine from what I've seen or there new models.
Our Chafer should be an excellent machine, and whilst the cab is a nice place to spend the day other aspects such as the backup from Chafer themselves and continual problems with various parts of the machine mean we are pretty unimpressed with it overall.
I've no experience of Knight but I'd definitely be looking at a Sands first.

Having run a Knight for 8 yrs would have another tomorrow both from the machines point of view and more importantly the companies point of view whose support has been above and beyond for the little issues we've had in that time.

After that you wouldn't be wrong with a Chafer, Sands or Batemen it all depends where you are with respect to dealers or the respective factories

I've a Knight and can echo the above, excellent company, friendly, helpful, great service.
