Huntaway

I never thought I’d say this. But I’m looking for a huntaway. Could be a x bred but think I’d prefer a pure.

I doubt I’m going to find a trained one but a young dog or bitch would probably be better than a puppy, a sapling I could take about straight off learning and already showing an interest in sheep and making some noise.

Money is there for the right dog and it would get all the work it could wish for and well looked after.

Any pointers / leads etc very much appreciated.

Try Ben at wozzy sheepdogs, had my collie from him a few years ago and he had quite a few huntaways when I bought her… he’s on Facebook

Are they barking? My purebred bitch pup was flat out in the pens at 12 weeks
She has a good bark on her and definitely takes after her dad more who was the Huntaway rather than the mum. She’s so chilled out compared to my Collie I didn’t think she was going to work stock despite being with me everyday since she was 10 weeks. Showing a good interest now though but is more nervous and shy than my collie, overall very pleased with her!
