Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

Woodheads man said years ago they really didn’t need any beef above R grade and made more from that and under than anything above
They have been pushing dairy beef and if I dare say it Angus it all adds up now 10ppk on under 18m dairy I’m sure some will jump to attention as they did with the Angus premium scheme
They are basically sourcing a cheap constant supply of beef dairy if possible
Steering producers in their desired direction

Be some expensive outfits there….did you go to Carlisle today? I wanted to go but had our 4 yearly tb test which cocked it up
No still have a lot inside and needed dosing and feet bolus and god knows what
Didn’t seem right to go when things are looking at us here
They looked a good trade on the stream
Could have done with some bulling heifers at least had an interest in the stock cows but they weren’t my type and a good trade
Same as you really but had a better day what we got done here I think there will just have to be another day

What a load of tripe, we’ve had something very similar done by our land lord, I’ve got one tractor, everything outwintered, forage crops, all dog an stick, an they said I’m producing 300 tonne of carbon, they blame it on the cows mostly!! So if I’m no good then feck knows what the intensive beef finishers will be up against!! Just another way to put your arm up your back
thats us then!

That stock bull from the Newton was some machine!
I liked the look of that bull, it would be cheap
Nearly popped down to try and buy it but had a car to buy this morning and been on like @livestock 1 bolus cows, trimming feet, dehorning calves and turning out .
Some on here wont know the feeling but when its nearly june you do think your cows should be outside!

Yes lambing gets over and these cattle aren’t just ready to turn out they seem to need umpteen jobs doing to them before you can open the door. We’ve had a good spell today with them. Had three of us on seemed to be in a rhythm today just about got there after a week of it and some of last week too
