Brilliant machines, at the end of my sandwich period I was allowed a week on one of these hoeing spring onions, very satisfying work.

Interesting to see your leeks, we dibbed then watered in early leeks, and banked later to get more white.
These were planted as plugs a week ago as deep as we could get them. Various hoeings through the season will gradually bank them up.
 
That’s a great hit of clover. Did you steer clear of sprays altogether when planting or did you try a clover safe one post emergence?
Haven’t used any chemicals, this is my heaviest, dirtiest field and the clover struggled to complete with the weeds last year. I took two v light cuts last year to top the weeds (charlock, scarlet pimpernel & scotch thistles) I still have a couple of large areas of thistles which I will try and deal with before the next cut.
