Old MF 50B

Hi everyone, recently acquired a 50B digger instant reverse model. I think it must be the newer version (MKII?) as it has the 2 sticks for the back hoe, instead of the 7.
Have given it a full service but having problems with the back hoe. It will raise and lower fine, and dipper stick along with bucket and swing its good, however when digging, trying to move up on the main arm and in with the dipper is slow.

If you are trying to grade with a bucket say, you have to stop pulling up the main arm and pull in the dipper stick. The dipper seems to take priority over the main boom. If you stop flow to dipper, the main boom will raise but it cant do it working 2 functions.... if that makes sense? So to get more height you have to stop the dipper for the main boom to raise then you can pull in the dipper more... you cant dig smoothly..

Would this be down to a worn pump? It only seems to be when working 2 functions that it is very slow, it is pretty fast up and down but dipper is sometimes slow on own. Front bucket seems to work ok? I can get the service manuals for it online.. just wondered if someone had come across this before or had any ideas.
Thanks

Sounds like lack of hydraulic flow. Have you looked at the hydraulic filter (and the internal strainer)? Otherwise, probably worn pump ...... but that would normally show itself firstly as lack of hyd pressure. Have you checked the pressure delivery at any of the ram or spool valve outlets?

Could be pump or relief valve sticking open a little but worth checking controls as swapping them used to be pretty common before ISO controls became the norm so check to see if the the dipper and main boom pipes have been swapped from side to side but it could be that they have been swapped to mimic another style of control like ISO, JCB Etc but they would have been sized with restrictions etc in the valve block to suit the size or rams they where attached to and priority etc .
is there any decal in the cab saying what way they should work ? I think they would be LH forward and back boom L and R swing RH forward and back dipper L and R bucket.
