Simple system for weed wiping with a quad?

The biggest issue, is that using a phone or tablets internal GPS will not really be accurate enough. Have a look on the Apple store and see what they have in GPS guidance... Android has a pile of apps available, so maybe pick up a 2nd hand android device for a few quid and have a play?

For better than internal, but not as good as a full one receiver, look got a Garmin Glo which connects to your device via Bluetooth and using the app, offers more accuracy, which in a field environment and not travelling too fast, might suffice for your needs.
