Stripping down the Rotowiper to replace all the pipework. After the 3rd fracture I decided it needed wholesale renewal rather than bodging it on.
It's a 28 year old TR18.
I would like to fix my rotowiper up, everything is good on it but the nozzles have cracked or broke off, but I can't find replacements, does anybody know where I would find some?

Surely any good spray shop would be able to match something up if you supply a sample? A couple of mine are dribbling instead of spraying but they still "work" so they'll keep for now.

Looking good, are you going to put some rubber matting in the pit as well?

Yes after the fibre glassing on the pit wall is complete

Father in law came and helped me put a new belt on my quad today. It's a very easy thing to do having been shown how it looked scary with the pulleys that move and the rollers inside that all fell out when I opened the cover :nailbiting:
Got the water leak on the massey sorted so only the rake to go now unless there are any disasters doing silage over the weekend :nailbiting:🤞

Because I was waxing lyrical to @Nearly on Friday about how reliable my Hilux has been it broke a back spring on the way home.

I had one in stock so fitted that this morning.

Fully serviced the mrs's car and changed all 4 discs and pads, discs were all original, 2016 with 90k miles, I didn't begrudge it new ones.

One of the majors broke down last week in a bad spot, the new lift pump I ordered still hasn't arrived so we went and towed it back to the yard whilst I had a helper to hand.

Spent the afternoon dismantling my rake. I'm sure it would be easy if you knew what your doing but I spent a lot of time scratching my head and swearing.... Will be easy if I ever need to do it again though.
The knocking was coming from inside the gearbox as it turned out. The bolts holding the gearbox together had opened so the cogs were slipping and the teeth on the smaller cog have broken quite badly....
someone been inside it before I had it a lot of bolts looked like they had been opened and roll pins looked like they had been knocked etc. They must not have tightened the bolts on the gearbox properly then sold it. Ffs :cautious:
I'll loctite them when I put it back together. Hopefully it only needs the small cog and I can get away without changing the big one it doesn't look too bad. I'll take it to get someone who knows what they're talking about to look at it tomorrow.

My run of breakdowns continues as well. Clutch gone on my loader tractor so going to make a start splitting that tomorrow. Borrowed a splitting rail off my father in law so should be a lot easier than pissing about with a trolley jack. Not done a 4wd tractor before, or one this big so.... how hard can it be 🤷‍♂️😂

The crown wheel and pinion are a matched pair you replace them both together. Take note of where all the shims are when take it apart the backlash on the pinion is quite important if you want it to last.

Thanks. Mote expense than I was hoping for then :rolleyes::ROFLMAO:
I might take it to someone who knows what they're doing to replace them after I've cleaned it up depending on how hard it looks to take apart any further. If someone had taken it apart before me then it might not be right as it is anyway.

Father in law came to help split my loader tractor today. Glad he did it would have been a bitch of a job on my own it wouldn't come apart and he took the clutch cover off through the gap under the inspection plate while I turned the flywheel with a tyre lever to get at all the bolts holding it on. Clutch plate might have seen better days no wonder it wouldn't move. Shaft looks f**ked as well need to figure out how that comes out now and is probably why it was stuck together.

Looks like a 885xl or similar.
The outer shaft is driven by the pressure plate to drive the pto and hydraulics.
Dead easy to change, remove the clutch release yoke, and the cross shaft which operates it.
3 bolts and the outer cover comes off, then the shaft simply pulls out.
It's a while since I've done one, and I can't remember if there is a circlip or not, but the outer shaft is an easy swap.

Valve added to the loader as the pipe pressurises when the loader settles if left for any length of time & makes it impossible to mate the coupling.

The 690 now has a new battery clamp after the previous one failed spectacularly when clobbering a pothole - several new elements involved so doesn't quite make the grade for the bodge thread despite the lump of rusty Dexion.

New radio and speakers for the 690 - cheap stuff, but still far better than what was there before!

Wasn't difficult in the end but taking out the rod that holds the thrust bearing carrier (or whatever its called) was a pain in the arse.
Did find a YouTube video in the end he made taking the rod out looks so easy with no cab floor, pipes and diesel tank in the way  😂
