Spoke to fuel supplier yesterday.
He reckoned there will be some form of government intervention for essential industries. He thought there would be action taken by the haulage industry soon.
Price was 122ppl not using a great deal at the moment so was advised to hold off buying.

I don't mean this in a nasty way but good for them. It shows that things can't carry on as they were. This will affect other people and supplies of other goods, eventually it'll make its way down to the consumer who will moan about it and it will end up in the media. Then government will hear about it and maybe in 6 months time after the boat has long sailed away they might have a knee jerk reaction and do something. Sooner more do it faster it'll work no need for demonstrations. Simply the job wont pay at that price so we're not doing it. Maybe they should sorn there wagons to and get the remaining duty back from the government

Difficult to simply stop when your working for a finance company trying to make payments every month. Drivers wages to pay.
Once your on the wheel it's difficult to get off.
But (assuming a 6t tank) every grain tank full will be worth about Ā£1800. How many tankfulls can you get in a day? Just saying

The grain isnāt free of other costs
6xĀ£300 is still Ā£1800 einstein. The point is it is relative, yes fuel is dear but we are also getting good prices for the crips the combine cuts.
