Is that the NFU official line?Don’t keep any sheep
meant that I don’t keep any sheep. Is that the NFU official line?
That is an utter UTTER COP OUT!Don’t keep any sheep
Me thinks you purposely left i out for a rise. You tagged me in on something I have no financial interest in, namely sheep. I replied “Don’t keep any sheep” I apologise for my inadequacy in mastering the English Language by failing to preface it with the word “I”
Now be a good chap and go and bother someone else.

Utterly utterly shocking the arrogance that you have given your position within the NFU!You tagged me in on something I have no financial interest in, namely sheep. Like the smart arses that couldn't jump fast enough to join farm assurance when it came out first ?The smart arses will go along with it you watch .
I don't think its fair to direct that at An Gof but it does seem increasingly evident that the NFU is getting further from the grass roots farmer.Utterly utterly shocking the arrogance that you have given your position within the NFU!
Sadly it shows why hard working farmers are being sold down the road by the NFU at both local and top level.
The founding farmers of the NFU would be turning in their graves if they knew office/ ex office holders like yourself had such distain/ could not give a sh!t for other farmers because you were not in that sector of AG so were not affected an gof.
What a bloody sad and sorry state of affairs that an office or ex office holder of the NFU thinks like you do an gof!
Diplomatic !I don't think its fair to direct that at An Gof but it does seem increasingly evident that the NFU is getting further from the grass roots farmer.
Steady on mate, you know that they know that you know they know bestUtterly utterly shocking the arrogance that you have given your position within the NFU!

He posted what he thinks himself and that was : I do not give a sh!t about the sheep sector because i do not farm sheep.I don't think its fair to direct that at An Gof but it does seem increasingly evident that the NFU is getting further from the grass roots farmer.

And the above is from a very senior NFU office or ex office holder who has held in the past jobs/ positions within the NFU that would represent sheep farmers..
Words really fail me and no way anyone either pro or anti NFU could defend AN Gofs comments tonight on this thread!!
See where as I took this as “ I don’t keep any sheep” so I am not the right person to answer this. Which is a fair comment.Don’t keep any sheep
Stop making excuses for NFU people like AN Gof.See where as I took this as “ I don’t keep any sheep” so I am not the right person to answer this. Which is a fair comment.
@guth would you advise on sugar beet if someone asked you the question?
That’s the first time I’ve defended someone from there and I have no idea who An Gof is or what role they held… I was simply saying that I read it a completely different way to you did, as I’m sure many others would have.Stop making excuses for NFU people like AN Gof.
The new LIS recording system is being set up for both sheep and cattle and will be one and the same for both species of animal so yes i would expect someone like An Gof who has had roles/ jobs at very senior level within the NFU which involve representing sheep farmers to comment on the new recording system being introduced!
But for him to reply it is nothing to do with him as he does not have sheep is just plain unreal and a cop out!
The livestock information/EID/NFU thing is almost fraudulent in how corrupt it is. An absolute effing disgrace, and the ONLY thing in this industry that makes me truly angry.Utterly utterly shocking the arrogance that you have given your position within the NFU!
