Looking to replace/upgrade a 2003 TM155 with similar, but less hours and 50k. Would a T6.175 compare, though only 140hp, (boosts to 175 on PTO/transport.)? Other NH models? Budget £20,000 to change.
I’ve got a TM155 that has not had the pump touched and my brother has a 6.175 and it pulls better than the 155 on the road with the boost. Main difference is with the extra weight of the 155 for draft and stability. If you don’t need the weight then a 6.175 will be fine. If your pump has been played with then you might find it disappointing.Looking to replace/upgrade a 2003 TM155 with similar, but less hours and 50k. You would have to remap it, but I wouldn’t. It’s not a huge back end on that tractor. Can a T6.175 be "played with" to improve on 140hp for draft work?
I'd keep it, unless you're swapping for a new one you're potentially just buying someone else's problems. 20 K will sort quite a few problems should you need it. Assuming you've looked after it of course.I know....looking at used tractor prices recently does make that seem a sensible option. 7,700 hours now. New clutch packs 3 years ago. New transmission output speed sensor a month ago to sort a gear change problem. But wondering what the next big repair bill might be. And 50k would be nice!

50k over 40k won't make much difference to your day.
The t4a T6.175 are 6cylinder, so are the T6.155 and T6.165. Then when the T4b models came out the 180 became the only 6cyl until they brought out the 160 a couple years laterWhy not a t6180 as it has the 6 pot engine so will have more torque
It still won't have the weight of the TM, depending on what it's doing that may or may not be important to the OPWhy not a t6180 as it has the 6 pot engine so will have more torque
I'm a blue man but their numbering of models, especially the T6 range over the years is unbelievably poor. The t4a T6.175 are 6cylinder, so are the T6.155 and T6.165. Then when the T4b models came out the 180 became the only 6cyl until they brought out the 160 a couple years later
I think they will be collectable over time as actually very few of them sold, certainly in the uk.Full spec 6090 will be the one to have soon.
