we are looking for a complete setup for a farm milking around 300 + 150 followers.
not ideally suited to a lagoon.
metal tower, these are showing signs of rotting at 25 years which is long but could ideally last longer
concrete circular type tower?
or a silage clamp type design with steel uprights and horizontal panels between. design it for 4m height but only put up 3m leaving room to expand? very easy to roof.

calculated to want around 4500m3 storage including parlour washings.

A million gallons of storage seems a bit on the light side to me ????

Why isn’t it suited for a lagoon?

My tower lasted 27 years,my lined lagoon cost a fraction of the cost of a tower and I’m confident it will outlast any steel tower.

What would you recommend.
How would you calculate it or just experience

Although not perfect this would be a good place to start

you should be able to get help from a Catchment Sensitive Farming advisor.

I’ve had a guy out to look at my system and to see what we may have to do in the next few years. I’m just waiting for the report now. Was all free.
