MF 7614 dyna 6, what size speed disc?

Howdy all, i purchased a new MF 7614 dyna 6 tier 2, and i have no experience with speed discs, i am assuming 3 metres is the size for 140hp, black dirt, tilling pasture ground so it can be levelled.

Have 55 acres to do this November and the last time this ground saw a plough was when god created it!! Maybe when jesus was a boy as a stretch.

Any experienced 7614 operators out there? Or 140 hp?

Cheers, Ant

If i could go 3.5m that be great, need to watch road width as soon as go folding model its more coin, cheers for your help!!!

Ant...

I have a folding 4m on a JD6920 (160hp?). The 4m is dearer but also heavier, which is useful if you are working hard, clay ground, particularly on the first pass. I wouldn’t want to run it, or lift it, on anything smaller tbh.

Those discs work better at speed, so you need enough power to be able to work at speed. Better to have a 3m that can work at 12km/hr+, than a 3.5m that has to work more slowly?
