Yes I know, but its not a given that everybody that applies will be granted one and probably more will apply for this one because of having to spend less to qualify.

I’m not so sure. On the previous grant, you would get 40% of the ‘standard cost’, regardless of what you actually spent, so you could get a steel handling yard for nothing, for example.
They’ve closed that loophole on the new scheme, so you have spend at least the full standard cost in order to get the 40%.

That, and a lot of people will surely have got any kit they wanted now?

dose anybody have any idear when will decide who got the grant or not ?
I am not holding my breath in 30 years of farming on my own never had one grant

Iirc it was around a month under the old (but similar) grant. If you are offered a grant, they will send a contract, which you have to sign within 30 days to go ahead.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this round was oversubscribed, as the removal of the £1m turnover threshold means that all large dairy farmers would be daft not to apply for the full £12k for some extra heat detection collars, etc.
if that happens, the point totals will come into play.
