5-6 months I'd be looking to wean the bull calves or at least get them separate from the ones with heifer calves you could leave them on their mothers for a long time if they aren't with the heifers.
That might even be a bit too old even if the heifer calves are well grown I've seen 4 month old heifers bulling....

We should start an ice cream tracker thread.
Mr whippy icecream and flake at Monmouth was nearly £4 today.
They could get dearer....
There's a bit of a shortage of Flakes at the moment...

Mainly caused by the fact that @spin cycle is eating most of his wife's ice cream van supply and that Cadburys are now making them in Egypt of all places

Its not really about what or who you support , its just facts.
Sheep values have doubled since brexit, whether its because of brexit , or because of the effects of brexit who knows, but no sheep farmer can say brexit has been bad for the industry.

I'm a sheep farmer, and I haven't been able to export pedigree breeding sheep to anywhere other than Ireland (and more complicated to get them there too), since we left the EU. There was a nice little job building up for exports of significant numbers into Eastern Europe & Russia building up, which has been stopped completely now.

But yes, commercial prices have been good, regardless.
