Sow at 6m intervals. Settings depend upon which discs you have. The disc vane ends need turned up (wee bit at the end which has a bolt for the job)
There's a very good " phone app" called my spreader which gives you all the settings, or post your disc type, desired sowing rate, and usual forward speed, and somebody will provide the right settings for shutter and machine heights?
I used to use a z am to spread grass seed. Trouble I found is it didn't spread all the seeds evenly full width. Maybe lighter seeds land out the back n heavier seeds get spread wider but unsure. I put 1ac bag in each side to gauge how the shutter setting was. Trouble with that is i think when the hopper gets nearer empty the agitator fluffs up the seed and it flows out even faster.
I stopped using it and converted an old accord seed drill to broadcast seed on so kuchen better
