So tell me how many do that? 2 out of 3 of our trailers don't have sheets, what do you want me to do not harvest this year? It's been fine all the years before. If this rule is correct they had better tell trailer manufacturers to make roll over sheets compulsory
Chuck a few ratchet straps over 😂

So were drum brakes all round on cars till they realised there was a better alternative to prevent deaths
Tell me how many trailers loaded like the picture cause deaths? Put money on that if the dosy bugger had working lights and a number plate he would never have been stopped. Looks like I'll have to buy a 24 ton trailer to move 5 ton around to play safe! Tbh I'm surprised you write on the forum incase you might break your finger but then again you may have spent the morning doing health and safety risk assessments in preparation for writing in the afternoon.

Look the laws are changing, I’m having to accept them, maybe you should grow a pair and start accepting them too. Everything is changing for the better/safer

Instead of looking for excuses I suggest you sit down and start looking for solutions

I agree things are always changing, for the better not always. In this case I won't be looking for any solutions. I will carry on as normal with my perfectly safe loads driving at a reasonable speed that is safe and won't give this a second thought. If the police actually chased real criminals it would be a better world.

If you're using public roads, you need 2 more sheets (and use them) or run the risk of a ticket if stopped.
Not hard to work out.

How is it overloaded? The police here making up things out of their arsh I feel. That isn't an insecure load, either.
Decent sized trailer, could be over 18T? Its insecure because it can blow or spill Not rocket science.
So does this mean in plod's rule book loads of silage have to be sheeted? That sounds handy unless you want to spend £3-£5k on an auto sheet.
It does here depending on how strict they want to be especially on a main road. Plenty take the risk though.
