Not really , if that was a issue you could split them in a tyre .Doesn’t the speed of impact not cause the chopped logs to fly in all directions?
Drill of champions. Is that a 6 or an 8m? What coulters are you going to?New to us drill will be a winter project View attachment 1048948View attachment 1048950

A log I’d imagine
All okay with easy splitting rings, but I’ve split 1000 tons over the yrs with various splitters,Doesn’t the speed of impact not cause the chopped logs to fly in all directions?
so have i and my post knocker can split 3’ foot twisted knottes hard wood lumps no bother, various people have helped me log splitting over the years and all think its great , we have never found anything yet it wont split, and i made the attachment out of scrap so basically cost free .All okay with easy splitting rings, but I’ve split 1000 tons over the yrs with various splitters,
I wouldn’t have wanted to use a post knocker for the job,

Just out of interest, did it come from AMTEC/Ellis Machinery? Only guessing because our recently purchased drill from them also came festooned with bits of branch & holly too .....
It’s a 8m think we are going with the bourgault 19 mm onesDrill of champions. Is that a 6 or an 8m? What coulters are you going to?
No it came from agri-linc most of the branches are from our village
Much easier to unload curtain siders with too I bet!
I could do with one of them much safer than pallet tines
What did this set you back? We have one I brought 3 years ago, brilliant bit of kit, replacing warring parts I find access hard work. Real simple tool, we paid £9250 four ours.
Looks greatNew to me 25ft trailer, on New concrete, with new strap box/straps .
