If macron is forced to resign over his connection with uber and germanys chancellor selling out Ukraine its makes boris seem like he's in good company.
Then the dutch are rioting, not a good time
My gut reaction is that Macron will wriggle free, the German chancellor is between a rock and a hard place and will not. Italy is as Italy always was and the EU is a pile of pants.

The gas job could get nasty , Boris should have pushed fracking through , fat chance of that being accepted by the woke brigade

New pm needs to go on telly and say its straight we go fracking or we go cold and very expensive, people dont care about the environment, they say they do but in reality very few do

While I can follow the sentiment how will fracking affect price or availability? If undertaken by private companies presume the gas will be priced at world market prices and available to export as welll as domestic. Unless the fracking licences state for UK usage only and at a certain price. Please explain why I am wrong, as I am sure I am ?

I havn't seen wheat priced at less than world market price - despite the UK taxpayers paying farmers around £180 hectare for the land which grows it?

Yes the gas could be world price but the solution is the whole world ups production so price falls, it wont happen overnight of course but until putin is six feet under and not replaced by another nut job the world needs to become able to produce energy without buying Russian, that also applies to food. If Ukraine start to drive russia back putin will get desperate, hopefully there are enough sane people in russia to stop him pressing the nuke button but turning off the gas and oil is probably a more effective weapon. We have seen how weak Germany and italy have been already in summer I doubt they will support Ukraine if they get cold at the beginning of winter

II am quite sure you are right. The government will have to put the contracts out to private tender with the proviso of a price cap on domestic supply, whatever that may be. Sales above domestic demand , which will be very little, are for the prospectors to negotiate.
You may ask yourself who is going to get involved in such a political hot potato bearing in mind it will inevitably be a low margin and highly regulated gamble?

What a load of bulls**t.
Macron met Uber when he was Minister for Finance not for personal gain. All Ministers briefed were trying to free up the labour market.
Funny how it's fine when the UK are doing that but not when France wants to.
Nothing like twisting the agenda 🤣

Where is Cindy? Perhaps she is a rank below that lot judging by the situation in N Z. I notice that the only booming enterprise in your country is alcohol sales.
Obviously you haven't been here then, booming enterprises? Well where do I start, Dairy,Beef,Lamb,Wine,Horticulture and on the way back Tourism, biggest problem shortage of labour but with the backpackers returning and hopefully a few more from the Pacific Islands we should get through. As for Cindy, cannot stand the bitch and wouldn't vote for her but she would be preferable to Boris.
