Heat !People used to moan about cattle lying on 3 foot of dung in a cattle shed, but put cattle into a field with a midden in it, and guess where they sit?

I opened up another shed for a batch away from the farm yesterday. Inside and enjoying themselves within hours, and some better shade than the trees (apparently!) !
I have planted quite a few oak trees in the hedges, however I then learnt that acorns are poisonous, but as I am almost 60, I don't think I will have to worry about that! I will tell my son, that if he wants to cut them down it's fine by me, but what really annoys me, is the fact that they are my trees, on my farm, that I planted and yet, there will be someone in the future telling me what I can do with them (or probably not do).None, however as far as I am aware Chestnut were advised as better than most.
I'll look back at our old records, and check.
Ours have the choice of laying in the shade of some large Willow Trees or a small field shelter…. For some reason on the hot days they cram themselves into the small field shelter

Thats what annoys me with my hedges. I planted them, with my hands, purchased with my ££ earned with the same, and yet every person passing feels they have a right to choose how they are managed. Makes me not want to plant any more, so I haven't.I have planted quite a few oak trees in the hedges, however I then learnt that acorns are poisonous, but as I am almost 60, I don't think I will have to worry about that!
