Justify ourselves..........

My son is heading off to Uni in the Autumn, to start a degree in Politics and International Relations and, to my shame, is a full fledged Corbynista.

I often wonder if I should have beaten him more, but have resigned myself to the hope that he will eventually grow out of it.🤐😂
I wouldn’t worry. I was a socialist until I started paying tax, now I lie somewhere to the right of Ghengis Khan.

The Welsh Government has been urged to consider proposals to create a motorway linking north and south #Wales.
At present, going from one end to the other of Wales takes more than four hours by car.
Motorists wanting to make the journey face the option of a stop-start journey on country roads - or driving eastward into #England and using the #M5.
However, the Tories reckon Mark Drakeford's administration should give some serious thought about constructing a motorway from north to south - despite the huge costs to build it and the environmental impact.

not a f**king chance

I wait with bated breath to hear what our policy maker has to say. Have to wait until he drops his last fare off.

Clearences of the countryside? Cost of rural living will increase and ability to make money will reduce. Less of a tinfoil hat wearing nightmare than you might think.
We have gone from global economy and free movement of people to stay at home, travel no further than you can pedal. I have seen twitter accounts saying "if you think its ok to take your family on holiday unfollow me" the Puritans are back.

Own nothing and be happy or check yourself into Dignitas may be coming next.

I am seriously worried about the direction of travel of the Welsh Assembly, I suppose what do you expect when you have a Social Worker in charge. I think a lot of the problems of the UK are down to the power of the unelected Civil Service/Non Governmental Organisations/Charity sector and then damn it all, we have gone and elected one of them to run our Country!

They couldn't even manage to get pylons across mid-Wales to service the 'green' wind farms, so there's not much hope of cutting the country in half with a damned great concrete road.

Remind me how many decades it's taken to get the heads of the valley to its current level of construction. A motorway of sorts with roundabouts taking 20+ years

He’s your son and as such I’m sure you will stick by him and want to do your best for him.

But it does beg the question how will his university education be funded and indeed how was his education thus far funded, by hard work or by the state.

Like all the best lefties, he’s not been in state education for the last 10 years. Scholarships could be argued as being down to his hard work, and remaining school fees down to mine?

Not Eton and Oxford though, so I guess any political career would have a ceiling.🤐
