Are you halving difficulty achieving a clean combine rape sample.

I think the trouble is that the heat has scorched the top and the stem is still green. The Picture is some that’s been sprayed 10 days rape is 10% rubbed out. Not managed to get into the field with the combine as we’ve had rains showers last 2 days.

Same here think it’s just very green stalks haven’t combined since Thursday due to rain was better if kept combine full but hard to achieve!! JD s685

No, very good sample here
Everything is nicely fit ( finished yesterday ) and the combine is going well at 5.5-6 kph
Delivering to local store and there’s some dirty loads being tipped
Best OSR year for 4 years !!

Which make/model of combine and very roughly average yield.
Good to hear you had a good yield, to
help pay for diesel and fert!!!!

we have osr we could struggle in , seeds well fit , having done a tonnes worth of drum belt im leaving it for the straw to get fitter , back into wheat tommorow if it dosnt rain, another week of july yet!

I’m kind of regretting dessicating now with the weather we have had, but it’s all cut now

Non dessicated Aurelia was a bit chewy! Blocked straw walkers couple of times! Moisture was around 8% last week so got it in the shed before the rain! Sample was pretty clean as well.

Had the same problem Saturday, also not sprayed off, seed 7% couldn’t get the stalks through the chopper and kept bunging the walkers as it backed up. Had to lay the straw out to get anything done. Didn’t go today as a family health issue called me away, but now wondering how much of it will be on the floor tomorrow after the wind we’ve had today 😬
