The main road past our farm is in that category.
Right now its "Sunday speedway", just pulling out in a car, let alone a slower Tractor or SP Sprayer is frightening enough, our lane exit is in a slight dip, I have lost count of the number of airborne Motorbikes that have just missed me as I have been pulling out onto the main road, sadly, I now have a Dash cam and a rather hardened attitude.
Local road is in top 10 "bike roads" I understand.

Full of wanna be Barry Sheene's who will end up like Eddie Kidd!

Easy to blame driver who didn't see the bike in the split second he came up behind at "60" and wanted to blast past

The sad thing is that up until about 4 or so years ago, almost all of the bikes I encountered on our main road were really good and polite, if I edged to the side of the road to help them past, they would almost without fail thank me and acknowledge me, (which would obviously make me more inclined to do it again) but nowadays nothing, just aggressively tailgate and overtake at the slightest possible chance.
I don't know why the huge change in behaviour.

while moving the combine on friday , a 12 mile move whch we have to do several times a season, icouldnt help but think how poor the standard of driving is getting . unless its a open road some people cant think, like the tw4t who just stopped sat on the white line breathing heavy and i couldnt get through!

There is a new breed of riders it seems to me, with the courtesy's disappearing, but this is obvious in all driving...

I still give a wave of the left hand when someone has pulled over for me when passing.

always my dads pet hate them doing that, He's always said if that pass was the height of wagon wing mirrors they wouldnt need to worry about the bottom. Just a couple of weeks ago walking dog up the rd I was just looking at the edge of the rd at how yellow/brown the grass was just where the it has overgrown the tarmac, theres probably a good 8" each side of the road.
