Hi, anyone priced up a new 12 Ton grain trailer recently? Commercial axles, hydraulic door, roll over sheet etc
Unlike a pick up i would expect a new trailer still to be here in 20 years time, second hand trailers arnt exactly bargains eitherIf farmers are still asking about new trailers or pickups then the agri recession hasn't bitten yet.
Tin hat on.
Still got a 10ton wooton, 1983 build, still very useable.If I keep it 37yrs I’ll be 94 when needs replacing!
I saved it from the great q f tractors debate on bff!Yet you can still afford a tin hat
@DanielBargain haha
Bargain haha
That is a bugger for you, i cant see anyone paying 12 for it. New price would have just been over 10 wouldnt it. Credit to you though, ive always liked the woottons in those colours.I sold that trailer about 2 months ago to a 2nd hand machinery bloke for £5k.
It had belonged originally to his late brother and he told me he really wanted it back to keep. I asked for £6k, he claimed it was only worth £5k. Have known the chap for 20 odd years and always thought him fair to deal with so I took his word for it as to its value.
6 weeks later it was in Cheffins at Cambridge and he made £9.5k. Now the dealer that bought it is trying to get £12k for it.
He didn’t respond to my text after the sale….
