Mismatched drop arms.

Struggling to find a drop arm ( 3 point linkage ) for my latest project. One from a later model will fit, I think. As long as it's the same length, will it be OK ? Or should I change the other one too, to make a matching pair ?

will the newer 1 do the job any different to the older 1 bar different lengths?
The R/H one has been bodged up with what looks like a stabiliser bar. :X3: Need a proper drop arm of some sort.

Stick it in a different hole .
Neither of my 40 series have the arms in the same hole .

Time was when every right hand drop arm had a bevel gearbox and a winding handle at the top that could be operated from the tractor seat. I suppose with the rise of reversible ploughing as apposed to the reduction of conventional, the gearbox and handle has became redundant. The current type must be cheaper to make

I could nearly guarantee that Tractor Spares NI, Lisburn will have what you are looking for.

It can be an experience dealing with them.. if you don't get the answer you are looking for the first time, just phone back in a few hours and you will chat to a completely different person on the other end of the phone (it's the same person only in a different mood) although this does work vice versa.. so sometimes it requires multiple back and forth phone calls.

No, its a tw
7610 doesnt have swayblocks
Yes it looks like a TW. So the clevis on the RH drop arm should also have a slot like the LH one and there should also be an adjusting handle. The LH one is correct and the RH one should be exactly the same. So as the OP thinks, it’s been bodged, But they do seem somewhat fragile compared with the 5000/7000 type.

It's an 8630. ( TW 15 ). The L/H one is correct, the R/H one is a bodge, which I wouldn't want to risk on a reversable plough etc. If I can't find an original, a 40 series one will suffice, although it'll be shorter than ideal.
