Why are these so expensive?

Just flicking through classic tractor magazine and came across this . How can 20 odd year old 15000 hour tractors be with this much 😱😱how much were they new ?

partly the price of new, rose tinted glasses, supply and demand and generally the price that was and possibly is achieved by export.

One of the last tractors we sold was sold at export value and bought back 6 years later for export money. Even look at the price for old leylands, marshalls etc, 15 years ago a leyland was £1000, and 802 marshal was about £2500. the once £10,000 tractor really now is £20,000 plus

I think the people that never had them but always wanted to now have the money.
I've done a few days on a 824, never understood the attraction. But hey, looking at classic cars it is quite understandable. If you have money to burn and are into tractors...
