Yes £40 of feed would have put £200 on a beast. In some cases. Some near me have looked like just needing a trickle all summer. I mentioned it to the owner and he said no way have you seen price of feed. I couldn’t make him see.wouldnt just a lick of corn payed dividends ? a lot of them beast looked right stale , it might of been last winters hair . i think the standard of stockman ship is going down hill! i certainly know whos beast to buy and who not.

MVF have taken all the drenchs/meds etc off the shelves today and put them into a cold store as the actual shop temp is higher than what they are allowed to store them at!

Ah...its always the small print ...Sometime....ha ha...guess it will be hit and miss but from what i am hearing...its going dryer again the week after and into Sept...I can say with 100% certainty it is going to rain... Sometime!
Passed a steep ish field of Winter OSR today, the farmer had to give up combining it as its so dry they could not get the combine up the field despite several attempts in more than one place!
