Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

wouldnt just a lick of corn payed dividends ? a lot of them beast looked right stale , it might of been last winters hair . i think the standard of stockman ship is going down hill! i certainly know whos beast to buy and who not.
Yes £40 of feed would have put £200 on a beast. In some cases. Some near me have looked like just needing a trickle all summer. I mentioned it to the owner and he said no way have you seen price of feed. I couldn’t make him see.

We’ve been busy building the new suckler cow wintering yard. Hour/hour half putting girders and panels in then half hour under tree with drink. 😰

well I say WE. I’VE been building the yard. Our kid has been riding around in my air conditioned car checking sheep and testing splitting fences all day. Easier to do it myself than try to explain how I want it done 😂

We are burnt up...i can kind of handle that but its the heat that kills me...its been mental today and worst tomorrow...beer and tv...to hot to work...feel sorry for builders working in it...but course they get paid more than us
Going to get worse untill Sunday then rain Monday onwards!

MVF have taken all the drenchs/meds etc off the shelves today and put them into a cold store as the actual shop temp is higher than what they are allowed to store them at!

I can say with 100% certainty it is going to rain... Sometime!

Passed a steep ish field of Winter OSR today, the farmer had to give up combining it as its so dry they could not get the combine up the field despite several attempts in more than one place!
Ah...its always the small print ...Sometime....ha ha...guess it will be hit and miss but from what i am hearing...its going dryer again the week after and into Sept...

Ha ha

They are talking about odd showers next week, when they did that a couple of weeks ago we did not get anything more than what you could best describe as a morning dew!

We need 2 weeks of 12 hours of steady rain overnight and warm but dull days!

Burning up very badly now to the point every field of grass looks like a corn stubble field and/or was sprayed off with roundup 6 weeks ago!
