Beyond dry

Looks like the whole farms had a good dose of glysophate.
Ewes and lambs on the keenan now and lambs on hoppers too.
Just hope the turnips grow.

Ewe lambs still surviving on Herbal ley silage but will run out in another week. Hopefully they will be used to eating any silage by then.
This was where the cattle were grazing but they are on full rations now and look ok.
Ewes are suffering but will have to keep hoping that a thunderstorm comes next week!!

Went to a gun shop below Welshpool yesterday and there's a lovely green hue everywhere and even some grass. But here whatever green had come back has gone now. Ewes are eating hay like its going out of fashion. Lambs seem to have enough rough strawy dead grass to go at they're not interested in hay yet.
Bought a molasses feeder yesterday in anticipation of having to do something to try and flush the ewes next month! Lambs are on a Tickle of creep now. 3:1 creep to beet pellets.

I haven’t heard much talk of #forageaid

I wonder if the people that were helped last time and are now getting 4 cuts, will be donating some back.

Bloody good stuff isn't it!

Thank goodness I lobbed off one field as I felt it would go over before I got to graze it. The rest of the HL look very, very sad. It will interesting to see if they recover.
