Being attacked while working

Two days ago, while carting some bales, a man who lives in the house next to the only track to access a 60a block of land parked his dumper on the track to block my path, then chased me down the track with a large stick (looked like a baseball bat) shouting he was going to bash my brains in… aparently I was driving too fast (down this private track which isn’t his property) and making a dust. Been driving through there at 8mph… police predictably have done nothing about it. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else and if so how did you deal with it? Makes me think now that we need some kind of way of locking tractor doors from the inside, like on a car. Would at least offer some protection.

Threats to Kill, Assault and Aggravated Trespass... go to the plod, visibly note the service number of the one you speak to, and then explain what has happened; get a copy of the case number and get the name and number of the officer who will be handling the case.

This behaviour is entirely unacceptable, from both the police and the individual. You pay your taxes, part of them finances the police. Assuming you have relayed the full facts, the police are obliged to act in this case. Keep us posted.

Maybe a mention of “ he may have a gun”, would motivate them a bit more?

The police are a bloody disgrace these days.
Tell them you identify as muslim lesbian female and you felt a bit upset and they would be there in riot vans. Feckin ridiculous state of affairs.
or for that matter post a "tweet" that offends someone who "identifies" as a protected minority and even if you had not broken any law, they would want you to admit to a non crime hate incident. The police seem to be on that like a tramp on chips rather than real crimes.

Is this guy likely to have a gun license? If so make sure the police are aware of his ‘random behaviour’.

Get a dash cam and plenty of cameras front and back.

Would it be possible to get a vacci tanker and give the lane a soak with water to damp the dust around the house if this is his issue.

Loved the quote here recently. ‘It’s easier to get rid of the wife than the neighbours’!

If I had a tanker it would be slurry I’d be pouring on the track not water!

Stand up to him and threaten him that you know some unpleasant people that can sort him and his kids at school if he has any that is ? tell him that if any thing happens to you or your family you have already made contact with your unpleasant people.
I’m afraid you have to throw it back at him as the police won’t do anything and if he thinks he has got you worried he’ll play on it .
