It started off crappy and cold but has turned into a decent day. The fields are still as wet as a river though.

Has been dry today but we've had an inch of rain over the previous 3 days. The fields with decent ridges in aren't too bad but the gateways and narrow pieces are trashed and it's looking very likely that another bunch of lambs will have to come in.

Have you got rid of the Suffolk pics? What weight would the £115 ones be?

Foggy and miserable.

I have 2, must be cracking on 25+ yrs now the basket is original but the frame work is not. They tend not to waste as much out of it compared to the cradles.

Took advantage of the ground conditions today and did some hedgecutting took a bale of hay to a bunch of lambs, had to discard the outside of it, they don't need it yet but ground held the telehandler. Also brought the first bunch of lambs in to give the fields a rest.

I think (but nowhere near certain) that there's a collie rescue home somewhere above brum poss Stafford. Also did someone not post a vid on here of a woman from wales that has about 30 odd rescue collies.

Absolutely, although from memory it must be a fortnight since we've had any rain but once my grounds wet it stays that way.

Don't know the temp but its minus something, grass is still white and the fog has not lifted yet, don't suppose it will. Oh and it was f ing cold on the quad going around the sheep.

A little bit of frost in the ground this morning, so I went and gave a load of brambles some grief to stop lambs getting caught up ( drives me wild 1 every bloody day). Also a yard ready for some lambs as we are running out of grass.

Around here the going rate is £25/week for a stable and turnout.

Speaking to a friend this afternoon and he sold 3 loads of feed wheat today to go in the next couple of weeks at £200.
