Has been dry today but we've had an inch of rain over the previous 3 days. The fields with decent ridges in aren't too bad but the gateways and narrow pieces are trashed and it's looking very likely that another bunch of lambs will have to come in.
Took advantage of the ground conditions today and did some hedgecutting took a bale of hay to a bunch of lambs, had to discard the outside of it, they don't need it yet but ground held the telehandler.
Also brought the first bunch of lambs in to give the fields a rest.
I think (but nowhere near certain) that there's a collie rescue home somewhere above brum poss Stafford. Also did someone not post a vid on here of a woman from wales that has about 30 odd rescue collies.
A little bit of frost in the ground this morning, so I went and gave a load of brambles some grief to stop lambs getting caught up ( drives me wild 1 every bloody day).
Also a yard ready for some lambs as we are running out of grass.
