I’ve judged ewe lambs and store lambs plenty of times. Tups a couple of times too.
Never followed up the store lambs to buy them. I don’t buy that size of lamb so that’s my get out clause.

I don’t know but we would get ewes blown up and dead within 20 minutes of filling the molasses feeders. Classic Urea poisoning. PM too prove it in the end. Tried claiming from the molasses supplier but no joy. 15 ewes died before I worked out what the problem was. We’ve fed molasses for 40 years...
I still think it cost too much too produce those top 10% cattle. I’ll stick too producing cattle in the next band down. Good COMMERCIAL cattle pay way better than fancy bred types!
I would avoid Urea in it like the plague. Urea poisoning from the molasses has cost me a lot this last 2 years before I pinpointed the cause. Stick too high sugar

Mate of mine had his smallest 3/4 bred texel lambs inside for the last 2 months coz he reckoned they were too small too survive. I went down drawing fats for him at weekend. Put all these little lambs out too go.
Took them to Market Drayton, 30kg @ £3.15!!!! Well worth putting the little devils...
