The UK Farmers Union - is it time ?

Never argued with any of that, but you weren't always objective, and being ex curia is irrelevant, a mod' on here should be objective and not subjective.

The UK Farmers Union - is it time ?

Fair questions, but are any of those you mention mandated to do it?

And I'm more than happy that your self-righteous priggishness is no longer inflicted on us. :)

The UK Farmers Union - is it time ?

So far, I don't think anyone has claimed the NFU to be without fault; and there certainly isn't anyone honest who would try and claim that the NFU has a good record of reacting positively to criticism, still less changing as a result of it. Yet an awful lot of people on here are damning just the...

Common sense is the shared wisdom of the population, the 'common' sense - which you seem not to share... (y) No we are blind, and thick., that's obvious because you you aren't... :) Nutter... No answer there.

    vaccine passport/card

Vaccinations are not and will be compulsory; there are any number of things that we need to pass a test for already, whether, practical, academic or medical, to enable us to do certain things. People will still be able to shop etc. without having had a vaccination. As will others who have had a...

    Best filler for concrete gaps?

I hadn't even considered bitumen - which is rather daft because I used to help my father use it... :banghead: Yep, I'm thinking I'll go with bitumen for the linear ones and an epoxy of some sort for the more open ones.

    When will RT end ?

Did so a couple of years ago, not regretted it one jot; particularly enjoyed the genuine amazement - over the 'phone - when I told them I wasn't interested, they truly, honestly couldn't get it! They kept saying 'But are you sure?' and just wouldn't believe that I was; remarkably, they called...

    Smallholder to Farmer

Yeees... first off, and this is constructive, regardless of what you expect now, it's going to be far more difficult, time consuming, expensive, depressing and infuriating than you think. That written, if you enjoy it and can afford it and are prepared to put the hours and cash in, there is no...

    Best filler for concrete gaps?

Thanks for that, I was entirely unaware of the silage pit thread. Should have written that it's for horizontal cracks and gaps; and not so big, maybe 2" absolute max and diminishing as they go down, most around the half inch wide mark.

    Best WW2 film?

I'm not a fan of 'war' movies in general, but I've a soft spot for many of those about WW2 that were made during it and a decade or so after. My favourite is The Battle of the River Plate, what's yours?

As in the title; tried several and not impressed, anyone have a brand they've used for some time and are still happy with? TIA.

Never heard the name 'Watmuff' before, being suspicious and not wanting to be childish, I just had to google it to make sure it's genuine. Apologies to any Watmuffs out there, but it does sound like a wind-up to the ignorant such as myself...* *Watmuff...

    Very Nearly a Life Lesson

A few years ago a good friend in Herts had an applicant to work in an East African branch of his family firm. Cracking CV, references checked out, so they called him for interview. I was staying for a couple of days and his wife is from Kenya anyway, so when the interview was being prep'ed the...

    Very Nearly a Life Lesson

From memory, any unspent convictions must be declared if asked about, spent ones effectively never happened - except in a few special instances; but I've not kept up on this so that may now be changed. I've an interest in a firm that produces fairly complex and esoteric kit, and we certainly...
