I don't know about our figures but France's are definately the worst on record as I read the piece about it. It was possibly the biggest annual fall they meant but not certain. I would guess we run at a bigger deficit year on year but don't know that it's the worst on record.

Those figures were from before Covid and Brexit I believe so it could be worse for them going forward.

I get plenty of news stories about the misfortunes of the EU popping up but I'm not getting into all that tit for that nonsense, they may be true or false, the same as his but on the whole we have moved on, it's yesterday's news. I'm just surprised it's still so important over the water.
