Some NABIM figures for you @kiwi pom The usage of home-grown wheat is now double the level of forty years ago; typically a large number of flours and breads are produced entirely from UK grown wheat. UK-grown wheat usually accounts for 80-85% of total usage by UK millers, Nabim is the trade...

    Jeremy Clarksons new TV show

I did chuckle at all the “pressure” of trying to cultivate those OSR stubbles in time when there’s a Claydon sat in the yard 😂

    Planting game cover strips????

The best solution is to put the keeper back in his box until the birds arrive and let the farmers grow the crops… Like any crop, it depends on the season which is not what a keeper who is fixated on a first shoot date wants to hear The other solution is to put them in control and pass all the...

    Blackgrass chemical attack

Defy is the last thing I’ve added to a stack in the worst situations To rely on it alone would be akin to BG suicide!! Going forward, losing Crawler and less OSR/kerb will mean more cereals and an even tougher job with BG It’s not getting any easier...

    Blackgrass chemical attack

Wheats the most profitable and the weak link, it’s all a balance between staying in profit and putting measures in for the rest of the rotation Some of my worst fields have grown Wheat once in six to seven years but it’s not so bad for me as SB is a fairly decent margin here I’m going in the...

    Blackgrass chemical attack

Wheat is the problem Spring crops help but they won’t get rid of BG, they help control by having a larger window to glypho out of crop, SB in particular is competitive but as soon as Wheat is grown there can be no easing up on the Pre ems because the previous crop was clean, it’s still there ...

    Sad Day

@Boysground just being nosey but will you use the same contractor to cut all your area or use a different one for the ground 20 miles away ?? Fwiw although I’m in a totally different situation I demoted myself to a trailer 5 years ago, it means I can manage the store and keep an eye on the...

    T2

That’s how I see it, spend a bit more on the chem that works Cant see it’s worth doing a T1.5 without CTL, everything else is too expensive

    T2

You’re probably more a rust risk than sept (depending on variety) ?? My second choice would’ve been Ascra but I’d used Aviator at T1 so didn’t want use the same actives again, a bit less Sept pressure and more of a rust focus I’d have gone for Elatus I reckon

    T2

I’m going for Revystar at T2, potential and prices are good and you should be able to shave a few ££/ha of that Revystar price 😉 @teslacoils Not spent much so far and depending on T3 should be £75-80 on Firefly and Elicit
