Maize establishment after over winter cover crop

.... 12" deep is 3" into the red marl, tines, esp on the rotavator, don't last long in the flints, and pneumatic tyres get punctures.... hence we like scratching in with min-til! ... but not for maize in trash?

Maize establishment after over winter cover crop

Thanks everyone - I will continue to look at options over the winter, then decide with my contractor in the spring

Maize establishment after over winter cover crop

.... We have red marl clay 10-12" (sorry 250 - 300 mm) down, & quite aggressive flints (the chalk is some 10-20 ft below that)

Maize establishment after over winter cover crop

It was the maize's lack of competitiveness at the start that worries me about the Regen Agric approach. Perhaps use the sheep first, as suggested elsewhere.

    Claas Scorpion

Claas Kramer Scorpion 6030 CP - PUH packs up randomly - esp in severe frosts or after pressure wash. Assume it is electrics relay or junction. Had Claas fitter out before Xmas - he couldn't find cause, wanted to rewire whole thing (sounded expensive & time consuming) so we left it, & 2 days...

Merlo 32.6 and possibly CLAAS scorpion 6030cp

CLAAS/Cherry HEADSTOCK SAFETY WARNING: Suddenly found our headstock was disconnecting the locking pins during balecart on our Claas 6030 CP - VERY DANGEROUS . The whole balegrab could have come off killing me or anyone nearby . I only noticed it because the pins "flashed" in the lights when...
