So is it the merchants paying for whatever tests they decide are needed? Certainly not farmers from abroad paying, so why would we pay, we sell a raw product that fully complies with uk law - tick - my merchant samples and does don tests etc FOC and finds appropriate end user - I assume that's...
I emailed Hovis about this as they had big media announcement few years ago - only using British wheat but now apparently they have to use imported but flag signifies baked in Britain 😡misleading at best - Aldi the same - loaves have flag and baked in Britain
I have a 4ha block of extase within 12ha of zyatt, intending to save for seed. Not combined yet but have rubbed out some ears - looks very disappointing. Zyatt top - Extase bottom, Extase looked clean healthy thick crop all the way through. Bought seed in.
Totally agree, cannot find a merchant in Kent that will find a home for non- assured wheat at all, so not voluntary for us at all 😡 if anyone knows any do speak up! Maybe we could start to compile a list?
Although they keep saying it is optional, I have spoken to 3 of the traders I deal with and they all say there are basically no non assured homes they can sell my grain to. Based in Kent, I am not sure how else to find a home for it, as I would very much like to leave RT!
Our landlord has asked that we provide these electrical checks and certificates as our tenancy says we have to keep ' electrical systems in good tenantable order'. However this is the landlords responsibility in residential rentals. Has anyone been asked to provide one as a tenant?
If you were allowed to use a multi-site fungicide like Bravo it would work well against septoria if you have any or want cheap insurance- Teb mix for rust - never grown Costello so can't say but would think might get away with a cheaper option if no rust visible, but I'm not an agronomist!
I'm just about to apply Teb to bad YR in one field of Zyatt but advised to use Velogy era? plus CCC plus Moddus plusTeb to all wheat, as yet nothing applied and not in a hurry to do anything, Extase very clean.
