    Paddock Water Infrastructure

If you want cheap and temporary then get yourself some IBCs. You'd pick up 30 for under £1000. @jimmer and @Martyn could probably give you some pointers and pictures of their budget troughs.

What was that in ppl? Arla get some stick for the extra rules and regulations put on us but the hygiene bonuses (50/200) are easy to achieve and the penalties for missing top bands are not that severe.

With a reasonable pump 32 will be fine for 100 cows. I run a 50mm main for 500 cows and even on the hottest days troughs are never more than an inch or two from full.

    Cows gorging cake

Drop your target from 9000 to 6000 and then build a cost structure around that. The cows will be easier to manage and if they do over that then you'll think they're flying.

    Grass seed rep Cheshire.

I've had quite a bit from field options over the years. There are a few very knowledgeable people there but twice now I've ordered summer brassica seeds in March and they haven't arrived until June. It won't be happening a third time.

Jersey Thread - For all things Jersey

Neither does yield. It's doesn't say anything about the system in the advert but posh pedigree herds tend to be fed quite hard and they're only doing 470kg MS which i might actually beat with my short round Jersey's this year and it's way way behind the likes of @Bald Rick and many other...

    Calf rearing set ups

Get your tenant farmer head on and remember you want to be able to take any money you spend with you. Small calves Slightly less small calves and feral children This was the only photo I could find of our milkbar. This was our special needs group which is why they don't look that special.

Mines a little JS. I have to unblock it every couple of months but it only takes a couple of minutes. It's been in 7 years and given no trouble, probably pumping 5k litres a day.

The simtec was 24k this spring when the previous grant scheme was in place but I was late to order and they couldn't get me one before the deadline. The price above makes it 32k now.

    Drill and Price Comparisons

Claydon drills are my only experience of dd but I'm quite tempted by a Simtec again now. My contractor has a Claydon and a close row space Moore disc drill. I feel the Simtec is a slight comprise and might not be as good as the Claydon on the cereals and brassicas and might be not quite as...
