Was the poultry litter tested? 40kg/ha seems a small amount, was it a very light dose of litter?

I general, if your indexes are OK a P holiday for one or two years is not a big issue, but will have to made up for and it will get increasingly difficult to build back P as tougher and tougher environmental rules come into force. K is essential for silage, every bit as important as N and there...

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

The tractor from front to back is of Massey origin other than the Sisu engine.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

Not really, just a Sisu engine would be the only link to valmet/valtra, much more of the tractor can be traced back to the 3000 series MF.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

I replaced a 4345 with it, so I suppose it would, but a lot more of the tractor would be from a 6200 series.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

Yes a 5711M Dyna4 on 540/65r34 Michelin tyres, with 100lpm twin pump, 3 spools and a Quicke X5s loader. It was ordered last spring before the current round of price increases for €63,500+V

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

Yes, mine has a 3rd rear spool, but other than that, the exact same. The seat doesn't go back as far as I would like and it is a bit more noise than the 6718S or 7720S, but a lovely low spec tractor.

I haven't done enough to know, but Sisu in general are slightly heavier on diesel than average, I wouldn't consider it a big issue on a yard tractor.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

It is a poverty speck tractor and that is very obvious, but it is great for it. A great gutsy engine, a nice simple dyna4 gearbox, a nice simple lift and 100Lpm pump is brilliant for loader work. I only have it a fortnight, but so far so good.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

Check the distance between the two axles on both trailers, it is the most likely limiting factor. The 560/45r22.5 steelbelted tyres are fine for trailers of that size and weight.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

I changed my trailer from 560/45r22.5s to 560/60r22.5 for exactly this reason and they can carry significantly more weight. While it worked ok on the road, when in the field and loaded the slightest bit of clay use to block it, so much so that it would have to be tipped slightly to move it in...

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

Yes, but 560/60r22.5s are about 7" taller, which is not too much for the height of the trailer, unless near the limit of whatever is loading it. The big issue with the extra 7" is the distance between the axles on the Marston, if they fit???????????????? it will be too tight for comfort, IMO.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

Michelin now do a 560/45r22.5 that is roughly the same height as the super singles https://www.moto-tyres.ie/motorcycle-tyres-michelin/cargoxbib-heavy-duty/560-45-r-22.5-152-d/r-368179 Nokian and BKT also do a steelbelted version of the same size and I have not found a big difference between...

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

560/45r22.5s will be lower and if you get a steelbelted version they will be plenty good enough for this size trailer and will fit much better.

    Flotation grain trailer tyres.

What size are the current tyres? I do not rate crossply floatation tyres, especially 500/45r22.5s, they are not up to the weights or speeds of modern equipment.
