This ^ and just have a relief milker that you pay over the odds every second weekend and when needed. Just 3 groups of cattle to look after milk cows dry cows and young calves job done for 8:30am away to the beach for rest of day.
Main thing is your up and down like a yo-yo like most of us. But you can’t really show this to people who work for you as they need you to be there constant and need to have faith in you even if you don’t have faith in yourself sometimes.
I’ve exactly what you are talking about, works fine cows out 180 turn through seg gate about 30ft in then down through foot baths 200ft from end of parlour to end of race works fine, only time I struggled what when putting the formalin in to strong the smell seemed to put them off.
25/50 here and we will do 200 a hour with the right people, but 32-37 litres 3x a day.
yesterday from first unit on to last unit off was 1 hour 45mins 370 cows. Av 12litres a cow
We will be cutting next week for first cut,would 3 wagons be to much for a 320 on the pit? Half is round the yard other half is not but nothing more than a mile away.
Already have the tractor, so just the forage box extra. Was more expensive than I thought it would be but hopefully making better forage will pay for itself easily
