Beet is in for calves and ewes, kale to do for in calf heifers.
Bit of bale grazing for cows and maybe ewes.
As much deferred grazing, cheapest option, for cows as possible.
3 days a fair bit better than 6.
Don't get to hung up on days per shift, grass growth isn't uniform so it will vary through the season.
Much better to be guided by pre and post grazing covers imo.
And have a back up plan for times when there's to much grass or to little!
The N costs the same but we're hoping to apply at 25% rate, humate and extra application cost puts foliar to around 35/40% of the cost of solid.
If it works.
We've been playing around with it for 3 years and certainly encouraged, current N price has hurried us along and we now aim to use it...

Hopefully that works.
I'm sure you're not after farm trials but we managed 8 ton in SB...
Done a few HAs with our newly adapted "towable foliar fert applicator" 😬
Please with how it works and a certain greening after application. Early days to make any big claims but will be an interesting season trialing it. 12m boom and 18m spread with double overlap, went for this setup so we can...
I think strip till into grass is the best option.
I can't justify a strip tiller so made our own version which we then follow with the Moore.
Worked fine and we will repeat. Mostly into barley stubble this year though.
First impressions are very good, warm, dry, smart, light, dries quickly, comfortable. Sizing is very generous so I got medium rather than normal large.
I'll need a couple years to see how it lasts and to finish the review....
