We lime and rebed, double dip with iodene works well. We've started using 50/50 iodene/surgical spirits, seems to dry them up faster

Generally pinch some off another ewe, or at last resort some powdered colostrum, we stopped using spectam and kick start a few years ago, done alright since then (*touch wood)

This! Making sure the ewes have decent colostrum, and that the lambs have suckled well makes such a difference
