We did struggle to get them pressed out but we managed cutting them out easy enough.
In the end up, the dealer sourced enough bearings from a crowd in Dublin, they came with flat snap rings so we bought a new spring gate which is 2mm wire and suits the job perfect. In the middle of rebuilding...
Circlips wont work I don't think, as the wire goes in the groove in the gear and a matching groove in the bearing, so there's no way of getting to it if you get me.
You'd thing circlips top and bottom would have been the logical idea...but not for krone.
We have a few krone mowers, we bought this 10'6'' trailed mower new, in 2015, it has done a fair few acres but the triples have taken over most of the work the past few years.
Long story short, when changing a module bearing we noticed play in the back idler gear so we took out all the...
For anyone that's interested, we looked at a few 434's, and 416's but couldn't find a Komatsu at the right money/hours. As a few of you said, there was wear on JCB pins and especially the bottom center pivot. We looked at a few Volvo L60E and L70's. They had more hours but tight as a drum. And...
So what year would a Komatsu be good after, say 2013/14 ?
Yeah L70E or F have been recommended if it was possible to track down one with even 7k hours and then we'll be a few years before hitting the 10k mark but they're like hens teeth.
That could be the way to go, aslong as they're not completely dead for climbing a pit.
I'm open to any suggestions of good models or models to stay clear of for komatsu, volvo, NH etc. Likely going to be a 10 year old machine no matter what brand we go.
And dealers IRE or uk which are decent...
I don't know much about them because they're not actively sold for pushing grass up here but there seems to be plenty in the south.
What would be a good model say the same age, size as a 434?
what hours are you getting out of them?
had you any notable breakdowns? I've seen ones with well over 10k hours advertised but wonder what breakdowns and costs it took to get them there.
Our TM310 at over 10k hours has had injectors and dropbox trouble which is a common occurrence so we've been told but these only occured from 6k...
That's what we're thinking. And a 416 is more likely to have been pushed hard to do 434 work. Was it pins and bushes were wearing on yours?
I hear diffs are a common problem on a 416 whereas theres heavier axles in the 434.
