Now she wont let the damn calf suck - so having to walk her into the calving gate every evening to give the calf a good suck.
On top of that, she is the most twisted fudgeer of a cow you ever seen when trying to take her from the field - not wild at all but if she spots an opening she will go...
Update - day 8 i lifted her outside (walked her slowly with hip lifters). Let her stand with the help of the loader for an hour and i milked her out. Took the loader away and she stumbled about but refused to fall. An hour later she was at the far end of the field grazing. 5 hours later she was...
Thats the thing she is motivated as hell to get up. God knows how many times a day she tries.
To be honest, as a stockman as long as she is healthy otherwise i couldnt give up on her! Pity it wasnt a month later in the year and she could be lifted outside.
20 days - i had said to myself i...
Have a young (3rd calver). Calved herself the 1st year to a lim, slight pull last year to a sim and this year was in calf to an easy calving lim (calved 10 others to him and 8 done it themselves).

I have no sympathy - barstewards had a stencil lugage holder - my purpose bought 'small carry on suitcase' that fits onto every other plane on the planet wouldnt fit into their test holder - so they charged £50 extra every time. When i say it wouldnt fit, it was about the width of a hair too big...
Cidr's here are £6.75 each
10cc of receptal is £20
20cc of estrumate is £29
Given the programme that i use needs 5cc of receptal and 2cc of estrumate per beast and 1 cidr:
£6.75 + £10 + £2.90 = £19.65. Plus AI.
AI is usally £20 per cow (i dont do it myself) but when a group is done it becomes...
I would give it a pull yourself. A slight force should pull it out. If not then you can get the vet.
Speaking from experience, 1st time it happened me the vet just pulled it out!!
Make sure and inject with antibiotic too
There seems to be that many different ways of doingt it. I had a bull for a few years and cant remember the schedule i had before - but a friend who seems to know his stuff reccomended this.
Ill try it and if it works il stick to it i guess

Land going here for up to £275 per acre not counting entitlements.
fudgein crazy and no end of farmers looking to give it
Just out of interest - if you put up a shed without planning and it goes unnoticed - what is the length of time before it becomes untouchable? 7 years rings a bell?
As far as i am aware, in NI if you are within 75m of an existing farm building then you do not need planning
