    I wonder what Mr Monbiot thinks about the vast herds of herbivores in Africa and formerly (before white man killed em all) in the American prairies? They obviously kept the woodland at bay over vast areas.

    I’ve never seen a vertically mounted number plate: what are they on about? You’d have to cock your head to read it surely? Number plates are all mounted horizontally, aren’t they? I’m baffled (doesn’t take much mind)!
