I hated the decelerator on the road found it bloody dangerous! You used it to slow down coming up to a roundabout, then you needed to stop what do you do? take your foot off the declarator which in turns gives you more regs speeding you up, but you actually wanted to slow down! As an experienced...

all of the decelerators I’ve had anything to do with you set what revs they drop too and it was like an on off switch. When you got to the point of the switch being activated it cut the revs to the preselected engine speed,,

    Greasing plough boards

Thin wax oil down with a but of standard thinners! Thin enough to go through a paraffin gun. thinners evaporates leaves a nice thin coat of waxoyl that after a couple of meters of ploughing has all come off

Vaderstad 8m headland trip in tips I’m missing a bit

I never run low lift! Had a bad experience many years blocking the end coulters if I turned sharp with a challlenger On the middle section (certainly on the older drills) attached to the Box section that all the wheel forks mount in is a tin plate with a wing nut type affair on it! i know it’s a...

    Project Xerion.

Problem is though it’s a compromise and Pete knows there are better machines for spreadin* lime so he will find every little fault with it!,

    Project Xerion.

Artic and low loader! Simple solution restricted o license = no transport manager requirement! Pete’s pretty much as good as I’ve seen with his spanners and a welder, loves a winter project! Etc etc i reckon he could purchase an older Tractor unit and low loader for circa £15k tart it up over...

Fengrain Storage (275t) available to buy at a discounted price

i going to be honest I can sort of see that CS works for value added crops, milking wheat malting barley etc and enables a relatively consistent product to be supplied to end user. The part that I struggle with is this. @Woldgrain Storage talks about buying in and buying a share of the...

Fengrain Storage (275t) available to buy at a discounted price

agree completely with you re price of grain stores. We built a 10000t store underfloor cooling laterals with a 50t/hour continuous flow drier and all handling equipment along with weighbridge etc etc for less that half the cost of some of the prices quoted!

Fengrain Storage (275t) available to buy at a discounted price

@robs1 don’t quite get the analogy of contract hiring a tractor and central storage! i wouldn’t contemplate contract hiring a tractor I had already bought would I, in my opinion that’s what you are doing with central storage.
